We are aware of an issue creating emails with merge fields such as "ClientName | split: " " | first" which then displays the error on screen.

Our engineering team has identified the cause and are urgently working on a solution.

As a workaround, we recommend replacing the merge field with the actual value (e.g. the client's name) before sending the email.
